This house is the home of four generations and belongs to Mr. Mua Sua Pao. The entire house consists of three U-shaped rows with earth-walled construction. The main row is located at the furthest corner of the house, which has two floors divided into many rooms: guest room, living room, kitchen, warehouse, cattle sheds, etc.

The main yard is considered the "sky well", giving the house a spacious airy space that brings nature and sunlight into the house.

The house was chosen as the main context for a famous Vietnamese movie named "Pao's story" back in 2006. Director Do Thanh Hai ran into Mua Sua Pao's house during his field trip in preparation for the film. Deeply impressed by the old house which still retained pretty much of its unique architecture, Hai chose this one-hundred-year-old house to be the main shooting site for his upcoming movie.

The "Pao's story" later won the "Golden Kite Award" - the Vietnamese prestigious movies award - for not only its outstanding content but also its vivid recreation of the upland life, with Pao's house is the highlight.

After the success of the "Pao's story" movie, Mua Sua Pao's house became a hot destination in the Lung Cam village and was mentioned in different news outlets, television channels, radios, etc. Tourists from across the country and foreigners alike flocked to the house.

The small house in the upland area is now one of the most attractive tourist sites in the Dong Van rock plateau, Ha Giang Province, Northern Vietnam.

All the materials for constructing the house are carefully selected, according to Nhan Dan. The entire frame is made of fine wood, which can withstand rain and sun for decades.

The wooden gate leading to Pao's house flanked by the typical stone fences of the local Mong ethnic people. The fence is completely stacked from big-sized rocks without any cement or mortar.

Peach and plum trees are planted on the two sides of the gates, a familiar scene can be easily seen at any random house in the area.

The ying-and-yang roofing patterns on the house is imprinted with time traces. The house's main roof, kitchen, wooden gate, etc., also clearly show the wear-and-tear.
