2015 Vietnam-China International Trade Fair opens in Lao Cai

The fifteenth Vietnam-China International Trade Fair opened on November 12th at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Centre in the northern border province of Lao Cai.

The fifteenth Vietnam-China International Trade Fair opened on November 12th at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Centre in the northern border province of Lao Cai.

The event aims to promote cooperation and develop trade, tourism and services between Vietnam and China, especially the localities of the two countries on the Kunming - Lao Cai – Hanoi - Hai Phong - QuangNinh economic corridor.

This year’s trade show has more than 750 booths with 450 from 27 localities of Vietnam, 300 from 11 provinces and cities of China and 15 from Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong (China) and the Republic of Ghana.

The participants will display farming, forestry and seafood products, machines and equipment, handicrafts and timber products at the event.

According to the organizing board, during the fair, there will be 15 economic deals signed between enterprises of both countries with a total value of USD325 million, a 41% rise from the previous fair in 2013.

The fair will close on November 17th, 2015./.
