450 needy students in Quang Ngai receive scholarships from Taiwan’s NGO

On August 28th, the Quang Ngai Children Sponsor Fund in association with the Zhishan Foundation - a non-governmental organisation (NGO) of Taiwan (China), granted scholarships to 450 underprivileged students who have achieved high academic performances in the province.

(VNF) - On August 28th, the Quang Ngai Children Sponsor Fund in association with the Zhishan Foundation - a non-governmental organisation (NGO) of Taiwan (China), granted scholarships to 450 underprivileged students who have achieved high academic performances in the province.

These are students, who have overcome difficulties to achieve high academic results, from the poor and near poor families of seven districts and cities including Duc Pho, Mo Duc, Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh, Son Tinh, Binh Son and Quang Ngai city.

Accordingly, each student is awarded scholarships, each worth VND 500,000 (USD 22). The total value of the scholarships is VND 220 million (USD 9,680).

It aims at providing poor children with more opportunities in education, encouraging them to keep on striving for excellent results in school and dedicating their talents to the development of the country and hometown.

Zhishan Foundation (C.I), began in 1995, is one of Taiwan’s most successful NGOs engaged in long term humanitarian international aid and development work. The Foundation has been carrying out many projects to support education, health care and long-term assistant for 33,000 disadvantaged children in the Central Region./.
