Art programs for Vietnamese expatriates to open in RoK

(VNF) - The Dongbu Group, in association with the Post & Telecommunications Joint Stock Insurance Corporation (PTI) and the Vietnam – Korea Friendship Association, held a press conference to reveal a Vietnam – Korean Festival, themed “We are the one – We are together”, on March 30th in Hanoi.

The festival will take place on April 29th at Sungnam Stadium with 10,000 seats in RoK. Accordingly, a series of entertainment activities will be organized for visitors, including games, talent contests for overseas Vietnamese, and exchange programs between Vietnamese and Korean artists.

Especially, the program will also see the participation of popular Vietnamese singers, such as My Linh, Minh Hang, Dinh Huong, Uyen Linh, and Ta Quang Thang and so on.

The program is a part of activities to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) and to tighten friendship and people-to-people exchange between the two countries.

All programs will be broadcast on Vietnam Television Channel 2 (VTV2).

Addressing the press conference, Kim Kang Wook, representative of the Dongbu Group said Vietnam and RoK have the natural connection between peoples of two countries and the mutually reinforcing nature of bilateral relationship.

About 140,000 Korean and Vietnamese expatriates living in each other’s countries, including the 100,000 Vietnamese people lived in RoK, who have become invaluable bridges connecting our two peoples, will also be strong supporters of the future of two countries.

"This is a program aimed at Overseas Vietnamese living, working and studying in Korea. We want to give them a small gift of cultural performances and songs about the homeland to help them lessen homesickness, "said Bui Xuan Thu, representative of the organisation board.

In recent years, the RoK has organized many cultural and art events in Vietnam such as Music Bank in Hanoi 2015, Vietnam - Korean culinary festival, and many more./.
