Beijing Cultural Tour in ASEAN successfully held in Vietnam
(VNF) - On February 14th, activities of Beijing Cultural Tour in ASEAN (BCTA) were successfully held for its fourth presentation in Hanoi, co-held by Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), and Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).
Addressing the event, Mr. Can Viet Anh, HAUFO Vice President, expressed his appreciation for the attendance of CPAFFC’s representatives as well as Hanoi Capital University’s faculties and students at the events and for their support to the project.
He welcomed the BCTA delegation for carrying out cultural exchange activities in Hanoi, and hoped the activities could help increase the understanding of Chinese culture, especially the culture of Beijing by the local people.

Mr. Anh said, the pace and scale of cultural exchanges between Vietnam and China had been frequent and active and cultural cooperation had played a very important role for further enhancing the overall relations of the two countries. He also hoped BCTA to Vietnam a great success and that two countries could continue to partner with both governmental and non-governmental organizations to organize even more cultural activities in the future.
Ms. Yu Zhou, Head of the BCTA delegation, on behalf of the delegation, expressed her appreciation to the city’s officials, HAUFO and VUFO’s leaders and all the Hanoi Capital University’s faculties and students for their attendance and support.
She hoped the activities could not only add joyful festival atmosphere to Hanoians, but also enhance Hanoian’s understanding of the history and culture of Beijing and China, so as to further extend the friendship between people of the two countries.
She said that this year is the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, as well as the Year of ASEAN-China Tourism Cooperation, stressing the importance of cultural exchange between Beijing and Hanoi, and hoped Vietnamese students could utilize the platform to strengthen communication, foster friendship and deepen understanding.

With a view to further enhancing ASEAN-China exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture and education, BCTA activities were included intangible cultural heritage handicraft demonstration, folklore performance and photo exhibition of Beijing.
The activities were warmly welcomed and cheers could be heard endlessly during the event./.
