Of this, domestic revenue in this month was estimated at VND42.7 trillion, nearly 57.1% of the previous month. Two-month accumulated collection amounted to VND117.5 trillion, 18.4% of the year’s estimate or up 24.7% over a year earlier.

According to the Ministry of Finance, almost all of collections from production and business activities in the first two months witnessed increases. Collection from state-owned enterprises grew 29.3% while those from foreign-invested enterprises and non-state-owned enterprises rose 16.1% and 20.1%, respectively.

Currently, 44 out of 63 localities around the country saw domestic collection meet the year’s estimate, progress of more than 16%, in which domestic revenue in 18 achieved over 20% of the year’s estimate.

The ministry also revealed an estimated budget spending of VND20.3 trillion ($7.1 billion) during the period, accounting for 9 per cent of the forecast. As of February 26th, the management agencies issued more than VND40.3 trillion worth of Government bonds to cover a budget overspend and serve investment and planning./.
