The money has been used to build over 2,500 wells providing hygienic water to rural residents.

In addition, billions of VND have been spent building bridges and rural roads, constructing houses for poor families, providing healthcare and assisting poor pupils in remote areas with travel fees and books.

According to Trinh Minh Thanh, Head of the provincial Party Committee Commission on Mass Mobilization and President of the provincial Fatherland Front, the movement “Day for the poor” has left a positive influence on people’s lives, creating a better standard of living in both rural and urban areas.

In the near future, the provincial Fatherland Front will continue to encourage donations from organizations and inpiduals to realise social welfare programs./.
