(VNF) - The Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organisations cooperated with COPION (COoperation & Participation In Overseas NGOs) and South Korea’s LS Corporation on Augsut 14 held a groundbreaking ceremony starting the upgrade project for Thua Duc 1 Primary School, Cam My district in Dong Nai province,

After 120-Day construction, there will be 5 new classrooms and an administrative office built with the total cost of VND 3.67 billion (USD 161,480). In particular, LS Corporation donated VND 2 billion (USD 88,000), the remaining came from the district’s budget.

The project is expected to be completed in November, 2017.

In addition, LS Corporation also will send a volunteer service group, which consists of 24 Korean volunteers, to Vietnam to exchange with students and repaint the school.

LS Corporation’s representatives present 10 scholarships to disadvantaged students of Thua Duc 1 Primary School.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, President of Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations Bui Ngoc Thanh thanked COPION and LS Corporation for their support for the provincial education sector.

He also committed that the provincial People's Committee would create the best conditions for COPION and sponsors to survey and carry out more positive programs and projects in the province./.
