CVN presents 150 bikes to pupils in Bac Giang province

CVN presents 150 bikes to pupils in Bac Giang province
(VNF) - Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd (CVN) on October 11th coordinated with the Bac Giang provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Lang Giang No.3 high school to organize the "Canon-Delighting you to go to school" program.

Mr Sawa Shunji, CVN General Director, directly handed over these new bikes to underprivileged pupils who have excellent academic results, are living in poor families, far from the school or have no means of transportation. The new bikes (worth VND170 million) will help them to go to school safely and more convenient.

Beneficiaries of this year’s program (deployed since 2012) are Huong Lam secondary school (Hiep Hoa district), Lang Giang No.3 high school (Lang Giang district), Tien Son secondary school (Viet Yen district), Yen Lu secondary school (Yen Dung district), receiving 25 new bikes each. While Huong Son secondary school (Lang Giang district), Yen Dung No.2 high school (Yen Dung district), Bac Ly secondary school (Hiep Hoa district), Luc Nam high school (Luc Nam district) from the 2015 program were presented 40 bikes; and Tan Son secondary school from Luc Ngan district of the 2012 program received 10 bikes.

On this occasion, Canon Vietnam also presented a Canon printer to Lang Giang No.3 high school, hoping to improve the training quality for teachers and pupils.

“Pupils are the future of each nation. Education development plays an important role. Canon Vietnam understands this issue, and wishes to bring the best things for pupils in particular and Vietnamese society in general. I do hope these new bikes will be used effectively, safely and durably”, said Mr Sawa Shunji.

On October 22nd, the Japanese Company is scheduled to present 130 bikes to 11 schools in Tien Du, Gia Binh, Yen Phong and Luong Tai districts of the Northern Bac Ninh province

So far, the program has already presented over 1,000 bikes to local students from 37 high/secondary schools of 12 districts from Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces.

CVN hopes to assist more pupils on the way to school, overcoming difficulties in daily life, for the common development of themselves, their families and the society./.
