The former Ambassador, who served in Vietnam from 2003-2005, was the first to be granted with the title by the university during its nearly 60 years of operation.

Yoo Tae Hyun, born in 1943, has made great contribution to the introduction of Korean Study as a major under the Faculty of International Studies at Da Lat University in 2004. He himself compiled several textbooks and gave lectures on the subject at the university.

After completing his tenure, he volunteered to stay in Da Lat and became a lecturer of Korean Study at the faculty.

The former diplomat is also the author of several books on Vietnam published in the RoK./.
