Accordingly, the province will continue to increase the quality of the movement “The whole people unite to build up cultural life” in connection with developing rural culture, building new style rural areas and urban civilization; encourage social involvement in building up cultural institutions and cultural and sports activities at the grassroots level; organise weddings, funerals and festivals economically; and gradually eliminate backward customs.

In addition, the role of cadres, Party members, village patriarchs and religious dignitaries will be promoted in building a healthy cultural environment in residential areas, and raising cultural enjoyment for people, especially those in remote and ethnic minority-inhabited areas.

The efforts aims to help 80% of families be recognised as cultural families, 95% of agencies and enterprises reach cultural standards, and 38% of communes reach the criteria of the program on building new style rural areas by 2020.

Over the past year, the movement “The whole people unite to build up cultural life” has helped over 330,000 families reach standard of cultural families, built synchronous cultural institutions, satisfying the demand for recreation and cultural practice of the people. In addition, cultural centres have been built in 13 of 15 localities, and 585 of 609 ethnic minority villages have had community-based cultural houses./.
