Discovering Japanese folk tales with culture exchange in Hanoi

(VNF) - An exhibition on Japanese culture entitled Ichigo Ichie (One Opportunity, One Encounter) with the new theme – Monogatari (Tale) will be held at the Hanoi Children Palace (36-38 Ly Thai To Street, Hoan Kiem District) on August 12th.

Taking the idea based on fairy tales, an indispensable part of each person's beautiful childhood memories, the organizing committee and the volunteers will recreate Vietnamese and Japanese folktales at the Japanese Cultural Festival Ichigo Ichie 2017.

Activities at the exhibition include a display of Japanese cultural objects like dolls, masks, costumes, toys and origami.

Other activites include board games, shogi chess, uno games, yukata (summer kimono) costume wearing and lots of cultural exchange games.

The exhibition also has art perfomances like a furisode (the most formal style of kimono worn by young unmarried women in Japan) performance, yosakoi dancing and Japanese singing.

The exhibition is to be held from 9:30 am to 8 pm. Entrance is free for the public./.
