(VNF)- Two Vietnamese expats organized an exhibition featuring photos and archives on Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelagoes in Berlin on Sunday.

The exhibit was put on by Pham Manh Cuong and Nguyen Van Cuong, two Vietnamese expats in Berlin who recently made a field trip to Truong Sa.

Huy Thang, who made his way to Truong Sa last year, also joined the duo.

The exhibit, which was part of a solemn ceremony held in Berlin in commemoration of Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), drew crowds of Vietnamese Germans, particularly veterans and war martyrs’ relatives, as well as a number of Germans.

One highlight of the exhibit was a large-sized map of Vietnam which prominently features Truong Sa and Hoang Sa.

Also on display were photo books, maps and materials which reiterate Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagoes.

The organizers also put on display items, including a song written on a dried leaf, a soldier’s uniform hat, or a Vietnam flag with soldiers’ signatures which they were gifted by soldiers in Truong Sa.

Photos capturing the soldiers’ rigorous drills and lifestyle, interviews of the soldiers by Pham Manh Cuong- one of the exhibit organizers- and documentaries which affirm the country’s sovereignty over Truong Sa and Hoang Sa are also on exhibit./.
