“From heart to eyes” cycling tour from July 9th-15th
(VNF) - From July 9th-15th, the Ho Chi Minh city Youth Culture House will host the “From heart to eyes” cycling tour with the theme “For community - We together”.
As many as 55 students and 28 ambassadors who are composers, singers and artists have registered to join the 5th event, which connects Ho Chi Minh city to Long An and Ben Tre, covering around 210 km.
The tour is projected to visit policy beneficiary families, host cultural exchange programs for local people, organize the “Kids and Dream” festival, present houses of affection and scholarships for poor pupils, visit historical and cultural relic sites, and join a commemoration ceremony to revolutionary martyrs.
In collaboration with Cultural Newspaper, the delegation of voluntary doctors from Ho Chi Minh city Red Cross and alumni from Marie Curie high school will conduct free eye surgeries and provide medicines to 100 patients in Can Duoc district, Long An province. Besides, the organizing board should give free check-ups and provide necessary medicines to 500 needy people in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province.
According to Mr Bui Thanh Liem, Head of Ho Chi Minh city Youth Culture House, this is a meaningful forum for local students, contributing to enriching knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture by cycling, as well as providing a social, practical field trip for them./.
