On March 9^th, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai chaired a meeting to consider a mechanism in support of the provision of infrastructure in the central province of Ninh Thuan, in order to contribute to boosting socio-economic development and stablising the lives of people being affected by the building of nuclear power plants.

During the meeting, the Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Planning and Investment gave proposals on a list of 35 important infrastructure projects for socio-economic development, including Tan My and Dam Nai irrigation lakes, Ninh Chu bridge and some coastal routes.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked the two agencies to continue the completion of the proposal and to include the socio-economic situation, as well as the influence of the building of the nuclear power plants in the province.

He also said that the proposal should include support for cultural, educational and healthcare projects for local residents.

He stressed the importance to arrange the support in accordance with the progress of the nuclear power plants building as well as planning, especially the national programs target.

Earlier, the Prime Minister agreed with Ninh Thuan province to give support from the central budget to the building of urgent infrastructure serving the construction of nuclear power plants./.
