Ha Tinh province inaugurates deer breeding centre construction
The Ha Tinh Minerals and Trading Corporation organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Vietnam Deer Breeding Centre in Huong Son District, on April 19th.

The centre is being built on a total area of 50 hectares in Huong Son district’s Son Quang and Son Linh communes, with the first phrase (2015-2016) built on an area of 16ha and then expanded to 30ha.
The project has a total investment of nearly VND40 billion with 1,000 breeding deers selected in the first phrase; the second phrase (2016-2017) will have a total of 5,000-10,000 breeding deers. Accordingly, the project will focus on building breeding facilities at first then functional areas and offices before December 2015; the remaining works will be completed in 2016; it will expand and increase the number of breeding deers in following years.
Once operational, the centre will research, preserve gene grouping of the Huong Son deer; build international relationships with the world deer breeding association; build market and promote products from deer and toward exclusive branding of domestic and international products; supply of raw materials for supplemental product processing plant; provide services of sightseeing and relaxation.
The establishment of the centre will mark a great turning-point in changing agricultural structure of Ha Tinh province and help improve living standard of the local communities./.
