In spite of coming from many different provinces and perhaps only knowing Hanoi through visits, working visits or even just through books or stories told by relatives and friends, when living far from the homeland, they as well as those who were born and raised in Hanoi, have in common a love for and nostalgia about Hanoi.

During the exchange, many songs about Hanoi were performed by amateur singers. In addition, they also together enjoyed dishes of Hanoi and ebullient games. In the warm and happy atmosphere, the participants recounted their memories and nostalgia about Hanoi.

On October 8th, the Hanoians’ Association in Germany solemnly celebrated Hanoi’s Liberation Day and organized the fifth Congress for the 2016-2018 periods of the association in Germany.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hung, Chairman of the association, reviewed the event of the capital liberation 62 years ago and stressed that although Hanoi people in Germany live far from the homeland, they still look toward the capital and are proud of the positive changes of Hanoi.
