Hanoi hosts fifth Latin American Film Festival
(VNF) - The fifth Latin American Film Festival will return to the capital city in October, promising to provide fans of the continent's silver screen with pleasant and entertaining treats.
The event, is part of a series of activities bringing Latin American cinematography and culture closer to Vietnamese audiences through social, political and historical themes.
The film week will be co-organised by Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Cinema Department, the International Co-operation Department and Latin American embassies in Vietnam.
Nine movies of various themes and different genres, such as sports, history, comedy and romance, as well as animation and documentary, will give local audiences an opportunity to know more about the unique aspects and rich culture of Latin America countries.
The movies will be screened at the National Cinema Centre (87 Lang Ha Street, Dong Da District). Entrance is free but on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first Latin American Film Festival was held in Hanoi in 2013./.
