Hanoi sees 0.13% CPI rise in June
Hanoi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in June soared 0.13% from the previous months and increased 0.98% from the same period last year, reported the municipal Statistics Office.
This month’s CPI rise came from petrol and oil prices increase from May 20th that resulted in a surge of 3.58% in the transport group from May. Meanwhile, prices of restaurant and food service dropped 0.43% due to abundant supply of agricultural products and food.
The remaining groups witnessed slight price rises, such as clothing, footwear and hats (0.14%), housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials (0.06%), devices and housing appliances (0.1%), beverage and cigarette (0.49%), medicine and health service (0.05%), culture, entertainment and tourism (0.17%) and other goods and services (0.1%).
Post and telecom and education remained unchanged over a month earlier.
Gold and US dollar prices both saw rises at 0.69% and 0.78%, respectively./.
