Hanoi to enhance cooperation with Bratislava (Slovakia)
(VNF) – Member of the Steering Committee of the Hanoi City’s Party, Standing Vice Chair of the municipal People’s Commitee, Nguyen Van Suu on March 20th held a reception for Governor of Bratislava (Slovakia), Juraj Droba.
At the meeting, Governor Droba expressed his delight at the friendship between Slovakia and Vietnam, which has been reinforced in recent years. He emphasized the purpose of his visit was to establish the direct relations between Bratislava and the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi.
At the same time, the Governor voiced the two sides' wish to expand bilateral ties in tourism cooperation and students exchange.

Standing Vice Chair of the Hanoi city People’s Commitee, for his part, showed his support for Droba’s proposal. He highlighted the longstanding relations between Bratislava and Vietnam in general, and with Hanoi, in particular. He stressed that Hanoi is amidst rapid urbanization process, therefore the cooperation with Bratislava, Slovakia is of great importance to the city. The Vice Chair also agreed with the idea of expanding ties with Bratislava in multi fields, including trade, tourism and education.
On the occasion, Governor of Bratislava, Jurraj Droba, also invited Hanoi city’s leaders to visit Slovakia and Bratislava.
At the end of the meeting, two sides reached a concensus of building a Memorandum of Understandings, to lay out foundation for long term partnerships./.
