HCM City welcomes 7 millionth int’l visitor
HCM City welcomed its seven millionth international visitor this year at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on December 10.
The seven millionth international tourist was Jean Claude Tissot from France who was on Vietnam Airlines’ flight from France to HCM City.

These three people were granted with gifts from the municipal Department of Tourism and Vietnam Airlines.
Vice chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Le Thanh Niem said that this was the first time the city had welcomed the seven millionth foreign traveller. The city had welcomed a six millionth visitor at the same time last year.
On this occasion, the Department of Tourism introduced eight special tours, featuring the city’s 320-year history.
In the first 11 months of this year, the city served 6.79 million international visitors, up 19.6% on-year. The figure is expected to rise to 8.5 million next year./.
