Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh La Thang thanked Mr. Dang Van Hat for his contribution to the Party and the people over the past time and hoped that he would continue to be a bright example, constantly working, striving and keeping the revolutionary morality for younger generations to follow.

Mr. Dang Van Hat was born in 1923 and enrolled in the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1946. He participated in the Khanh Tan Chivalrous Youth Organization in 1943.

After a period of operation, he was followed by a spy and had to flee to Binh Dinh province.

In February 1946, he joined the army in Quang Ngai and was sent to study to become a nurse.

During this time, he studied both nursing and politics, and then was assigned to Phan Dinh Phung company, worked at the army medical team at the Company 4’s Regiment 2 Sa Huynh and was admitted to the Party.

In December 1952, he was assigned to be responsible for the army and people medical work in Son Ha district, and then to be in charge of army medical work in Military Zone II in Kon Tum until its liberation.

In 1959, he participated in opening the Truong Son trail to the North and then was appointed to study as a doctor.

In 1963, he returned to the South to fight. He was in charge of military army work in the North Central Highlands Battlefield and was appointed as a member of the Army Medical Board, Secretary of the Party Committee and member of the Front Council.

In December 1970, he worked as Deputy Secretary of the H30 district Party Committee (now Dak Glei district, Kon Tum province).

In 1975, he worked as a chief Doctor of Gia Lai - Kon Tum provincial General Hospital and member of the Executive Board of the Gia Lai - Kon Tum provincial Party Committee.

Mr. Dang Van Hat is the father of Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung, former PCC member (10th and 11th terms) and President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor./.
