Ho Chi Minh city to host U21 international football tour
The Thanh Nien Newspaper’s U21 International Football Tournament will kick off at Ho Chi Minh city’s Thong Nhat stadium on November 20th, luring the participation of six teams.

Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore will compete in Group A while Hoang Anh Gia Lai Arsenal JMG, South Korea and Myanmar will be in Group B.

Defending champion Hoang Anh Gia Lai will have a tough fight on the first day. They will play against South Korea, which is sending its strongest young players who will compete at the U19 Asian Championship next year.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai was originally set to play against Myanmar first. However, organizers have rescheduled the matches after Myanmar said they would arrive late.

All matches will be broadcast live on VTV6 channel.

The champion will be awarded USD12,000 while the runner-up will receive USD7,000 and the third place, USD5,000. Organizers will also honor best inpidual players.
