The section of Ho Chi Minh highway 14 through the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai opened to traffic on June 28th.

Ho Chi Minh highway through Gia Lai, Kon Tum opens to traffic

The 58km-long project from Pleiku city to bridge 110 was built under a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model by the Duc Long Gia Lai group. It has been constructed to manage traffic speeds of 80 kilometers per hour at a cost of over VND1.77 trillion.

Deputy Minister of Transport, Nguyen Hong Truong said that the project was completed six months earlier than planned thanks to the good performance of the investor. The progress and quality of the project was highly applauded by the State Council for checking and taking over construction work.

On the same day, the Ministry of Transport, in association with the Kon Tum Provincial People’s Committee, organised the traffic opening of the Ho Chi Minh highway section through Kon Tum.

The 23.7 kilometer-long project was kicked off in September 2013 with a total investment capital of VND860 billion in government bonds. The project was also six months ahead of schedule./.
