Accordingly, the first phase of the project will come into effect on January 1st, 2017.

About 50 electric cars will be put into operation from 06:00 to 22:00 daily with stopping time of less than 2 minutes.

The Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee asked the Hoi An Public Works Joint Stock Company to develop plans for electric car business and make up a list of transport cost to submit to relevant agencies.

In May, the Government ratified the pilot operation of electric cars for tourists in limited areas in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) and Phu Quoc island district (Kien Giang province).

Many localities nationwide, namely Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Lao Cai, Thua Thien-Hue, Khanh Hoa and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, have put electric cars into use and showed remarkable results./.
