Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his spouse have arrived in Hanoi, starting their three-day official visit to Vietnam from September 24-26 at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

PM Viktor Orbán is accompanied by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mihály Varga, Minister of National Economy; Sándor Fazekas, Minister of Agriculture; Miklós Seszták, Minister of National Development; Novák Katalin, state secretary of the Human Resources Ministry; Rahói Zsuzsanna, a political adviser to the PM; Megyesy Jenő, Special Envoy of the PM; Czukor József, a foreign policy adviser to the PM; and Őry Csaba, Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam; among others.

Born on May 31, 1963 in Székesfehérvár, Orbán studied law at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, graduating in 1987. In 1988, he was one of the founding members of the Fiatal Demokraták Szövetsége (“Alliance of Young Democrats”), called Fidesz for abbreviation. From 1988 to October 1989, Orbán served as Fidesz’s spokesman. He was elected to the Hungarian National Assembly in 1990. He has been serving as the President of Fidesz since 1993. Orbán served as chairman of the Committee on European Integration Affairs between 1994 and 1998, and a parliamentarian of the European Parliament from 2002 to 2010. In the period of 1998-2002 and from 2010 up to now, he serves as the Prime Minister of Hungary./.
