Jazz night with JumpforJazz in Hanoi

(VNF) - The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will present its seventh act of the JF garage concert, “A Jazz night with JumpforJazz” in Hanoi on October 17th.

JumpforJazz is back! After the very successful and well received “Chronology of Jazz” series, JumpforJazz continues to surprise its audience by introducing a unique self composed fusion of Jazz and Vietnamese folksong.

Following its aim to support and encourage young and talented Vietnamese musicians to perform and participate in a wide variety of concerts, this time the JumpforJazz-band includes three well know musicians: Hoang Ha on drum, Vu Ngoc Ha on electric-bass, and Nguyen Huu Vuong on piano and special young talent guitarist Trinh Thy San.

In addition, JumpforJazz cooperated this time will spend half of concert playing original composed by John Coltrane to tribute to his birthday September 23rd, 1926. The accompanying Jazz variation played was original composed by Mr. Nguyen Bao Long.

The event will last from 20:00 - 21:00 at open stage in courtyard (around 200 guests) of the Japan Foundation, No 27 Quang Trung, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
