Kien Giang province will host the National Tourism Year 2016, in collaboration with other provinces in the Mekong Delta.

In addition, the event will be attended by Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue province.

Kien Giang will host 11 activities such as the opening, the closing, the anniversary of the death of heroes of the armed forces, Phan Thi Rang, the anniversary of the Hung Kings’ death in Tan Hiep, the anniversary of the death of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc, the 10^th Khmer cultural, sporting and tourism festival, the Nghinh Ong –Kien Hai festival.

The National Tourism Year 2016 offers opportunities to speed up economic development and promote tourism in Kien Giang (including Phu Quoc island) and Mekong Delta provinces./.
