(VNF) - This year’s biggest job fair will be held on Aug 19 in Hanoi, gathering more than 30 enterprises in the fields of finance, banking, business, real estate, hotels, information techonology, news media, aviation.

The event is co-organized by UK Alumni Association (UKAV) in Vietnam and British Council.

According to government statistics, nearly half a million graduates each year in Vietnam and more than 100,000 youths study abroad. However, the unemployment rate among highly-trained young people is rising. Specifically, each year about 200,000 bachelors, masters graduated both at home and abroad unemployed.

First held in 2013, Connect The Dots has attracted the number of 500 participants and 8 recruitment companies. Connect The Dots in 2016 has attracted 1,700 young people along with 33 recruitment companies in various areas. Following that success, Connect The Dots 2017 hopes to continue to bring thousands of job opportunities to young people at prestigious businesses.

In addition, the program is expected to be a bridge for Vietnamese students with large recruitment agencies; help young people find the appropriate career path and new career advancement.

Nguyen Ho Quang Ha, Managing Director of the Hanoi branch of UKAV said he really expected Connect the Dots 2017 will be a lively festival. More than 80% people seek a job through networking. Therefore, he hoped Vietnamese youths would take full advantage of this year’s event so that they can find their favorite job./.
