Nation launches ceremony of 2015 traffic safety year

VNF - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) has sent an official dispatch asking the provincial and centrally-governed city People’s Committees to organise a launch ceremony for the 2015 traffic safety year.

The official dispatch states clearly that the NTSC continues to carry out the traffic safety year in 2015 with the title highlighting strict management of transport business and control of vehicle loading capacity.

The traffic safety year, which aims to realise the decrees and resolutions from the Secretariat, National Assembly and Government, puts top priority on protecting human life.

The NTSC asked localities and centrally-based cities to organise the launch ceremony to demonstrate the consensus and determination of the whole political system.

In its official dispatch, the NTSC also asked localities to build up a traffic safety plan for 2015 with specific targets on reducing fatal accidents by 5-10% as well as ensuring a decline of traffic jams in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh cities./.
