Several outdoor stages have been set up around Hanoi for nighttime shows which draw crowds, especially local young people.

Some of these stages are located on Dong Xuan, Ta Hien, Hang Bac, Dao Duy Tu and Ma May streets at night. They are part of the programme marking the city's Liberation Day, on October 10.

On Hang Bac Street, one can see chầu văn, a traditional folk art of northern Vietnam which combines trance singing and dancing, being performed. Meanwhile, on Ta Hien Street, young people play jazz.

These activities are held on pedestrian streets in Hanoi on the weekends.
