Over 22,300 autos sold in October

Auto sales in October reached 22,368 units, including 15,925 assembled units, down 0.1% from the previous month, reported the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA).

Auto sales in October reached 22,368 units, including 15,925 assembled units, down 0.1% from the previous month, reported the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA).

Meanwhile, completely-built units (CBU) were 6,443, up 19%.

Over 22,300 autos sold in October

This figure included 13,109 touring cars, up 2.5%, 8,213 commercial cars, up 8.2% and 1,064 specialized cars, up 6.4%.

Total auto sales from the start of the year to October 2015 reached 185,811 units, a year-on-year rise of 53%.

According to VAMA, Thaco continued to lead the domestic auto consumption market with 62,460 units, up 90% over a year earlier.

Toyota ranked the second with 40,516 units, accounting for 24.7% of market share or up 27%. It was followed by Ford with 15,737 units, making up 9.6% of market share./.
