The centre will be constructed over a 46 hectare site at the Da Bac fisheries port in Cam Ranh city.

With a total investment of VND1.564 trillion, the project will be carried out in two phases. The first phase for the traffic, infrastructure and port systems will last about one year, from 2016 to 2017, while the second phase of the wharf, shipbuilding and ship repairing areas continuing on until 2018.

The building of the centre aims to lead to the establishment of a synchronous fisheries logistics system able to exploit the fishing resources of south central Vietnam, the, DK1 frame-house and Spratly archipelago as effectively as possible, thus contributing to protect the nation’s sea and island sovereignty.

Earlier, the Government has issued a number of documents to promote the development of the fisheries sector. During 8 months of the implementation of Decree 67 on policies to develop fisheries, Khanh Hoa province has commissioned the construction of 25 ships with a loan worth VND200 billion. So far, the loans have been disbursed for three ship owners./.
