Phu Quoc lures over VND144 trillion of investment capital
(VNF) - Phu Quoc island district has so far had 143 licensed projects over an area of 5,059 hectares, with a capital of over VND144 trillion, according to the Phu Quoc Management Board for investment and development.

Of these, 21 projects were put into operation over an area of 1,286 hectares, capitalized with VND24.8 trillion, 13 projects are under construction over an area of 553 hectares, capitalized with VND10.8 trillion. The remainders are completing investment procedures. Currently, the island district has 20 FDI projects.
In 2015, Phu Quoc continues to apply comprehensive solutions to attract more domestic and foreign investors. In addition, the island actively sets up plans to mobilize investment sources domestically and internationally to effectively tap its strengths and potential, speeding up rapid and sustainable economic growth.
The island focuses on checking, adjusting and supplementing existing schemes and establishing new detailed schemes for functional areas in accordance with common projects. Reforming administrative procedures will be attached with importance to create a transparent investment climate. Progress of essential infrastructure projects is being sped up to meet the island’s development demand.
Numerous key projects were initially put into operation, such as PhuQuoc International Airport, An Thoi International Seaport, Bai Vong Tourism port and Ha Tien – Phu Quoc 110KV undersea cable./.
