Under the PM’s Decision 1833/QD-TTg, the centres will be arranged as following: 24 in the northern mountainous and midland regions, 37 in the Red River Delta, 30 in the central northern and central coastal regions, five in the Central Highlands, 14 in the southeastern region and 21 in the Mekong Delta.

The number of job service centres will remain unchanged from now until 2025.

By 2020, all labourers will receive occupational consultancy at the centres.

In the first half of 2015, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) focused on developing the labour market through job centres while building databases related to the supply and demand of labourers.

More than 500 job fairs were arranged, and 825,000 job seekers received advice and were introduced to employment opportunities during the period. Close to 347,000 found their jobs through employment service centres.

The MoLISA plans to find jobs for 1.6 million people in the remaining months of this year. It will also concentrate on building short- and long-term reports on labour market forecasts to inform labour and employment policies, according to Vietnam News Agency./.
