General Do Ba Ty and Senior Lieutenant-General Vo Trong Viet, the two Vice Ministers of National Defence, were relieved of their positions at the Ministry to take on new assignments.

General Do Ba Ty

According to Decision 695/QD-TTg, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc agreed with the election of the 11th section of the 13th National Assembly for General Do Ba Ty, a PCC member, 62, to be a Vice Head of the National Assembly.

Senior Lieutenant-General Vo Trong Viet

While under Decision 694/QD-TTg, Senior Lieutenant-General Vo Trong Viet, a PCC member, 59, was agreed to be Head of the National Assembly's National Defence and Security Committee.

The two Decisions took effect from April 27th./.
