To make thorough preparations for the 16^th Hanoi Party Congress, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) Hanoi on October 27^th completed the information and telecommunications network so that its safety and security can be ensured during the Congress.

Since early October, VNPT Hanoi has been making and carrying out specific plans, including accelerating the progress of the works required to serve the Congress; inspecting the security of the lines and cable systems as well as preparing back-up equipment and devices to cope with any possible breakdown.

VNPT Hanoi have concluded that all works necessary for the efficient, effective and secure operation of the telecoms network for the Congress are now complete, including the installation of a LAN network with appropriate transmission devices to service the press centre and a significant increase in demand upon the bandwidth normally employed by the system./.
