The central province of Quang Ngai on October 3^rd announced the completion of the repair and building of 3,000 houses for revolutionary contributors’ families across the province.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Ngoc Cang stressed that the support revealed a significant policy of great social importance which shows the nation’s tradition of payment of gratitude.

“The support will help improve the living standard for revolutionary contributors, contributing to ensuring social welfare,” he added.

He suggested Party Executive Committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and unions, in the near future, should more effectively mobilise social resources, together with the fund “payment of gratitude” and State budget, to complete the project in support of building and repairing houses for revolutionary contributors.

Three years after the implementation of the policy, over 3,000 revolutionary contributors’ families have been given housing support that have included 1,850 new houses and 1,156 repaired houses from capital of over VND97 billion.

Statistics show that there are over 50,000 revolutionary contributors having been identified as qualifying for the State support policies./.
