US Business Insider magazine has named Vietnam’s Bai Xep among the 16 most amazing but obscure destinations in Asia.

Business Insider described Bai Xep as an “ideal place for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, with a car-free village that includes a relaxing beach and plenty of fresh seafood.”

Tourists can experience traditional circular boats of local fishers, cooking classes and hiking trails that lead to waterfalls.

Bai Xep is located at Ghenh Rang precinct, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province. Over 10 kilometers from the city of Quy Nhon, Bai Xep has a neglected beach with golden sand, and natural rocks rising on the sand at low tide.

The other 15 spots introduced by the magazine include Iriomote island (Japan), Raja Ampat islands (Indonesia), Champasak (Laos), Ko Adang archipelago (Thailand), Mergui archipelago (Myanmar), Yakushima island (Japan), Similan islands (Thailand), Nacpan beach (the Philippines), Hokkaido island (Japan), Sumbawa island (Indonesia), Ulleungdo island (Republic of Korea), Kratie town (Cambodia), Green Bowl beach (Indonesia), Tai Long Wan bay (Hong Kong-China), and Nabule beach (Myanmar)./.
