“10 years ago, the number of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic was not as large as now, Vietnamese children born here didn’t have conditions to exchange, listen and speak the Vietnamese language because their parents were busy all day long. Therefore, the establishment of Sen Viet kindergarten has met the needs of the overseas Vietnamese community in the country, that is to create and develop an environment for their children to learn Vietnamese language from the early years so that they understand the culture of Vietnamese people and don’t forget their origin,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Linh, Headmaster of the Sen Viet kindergarten.

She also stressed that the kindergarten now gives priority to teaching Vietnamese well and creating favorable conditions for students to practice physical strength and skills.

Students are taught and lean songs, dances, a fairy tales as well as traditional manners and customs in Vietnamese languages.

At the ceremony, the organizing board also presented prizes to the most excellent photos among 64 entries of the photo contest “Nurturing happiness” about lovely moments of Vietnamese children, who were born and grew up in the Czech Republic.
