Shows on Vietnamese women in Ho Chi Minh city

On April 7th, the Southern Women’s Museum in Ho Chi Minh city opened two shows on Vietnamese women to celebrate the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification (April 30th) and the 30th founding anniversary of the museum.

On April 7th, the Southern Women’s Museum in Ho Chi Minh city opened two shows on Vietnamese women to celebrate the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification (April 30th) and the 30th founding anniversary of the museum.

On display are 150 artifacts and documents about contributions made by Vietnamese women in science and labour.

There is also an exchange with female groups and inpiduals who made great contribution to national construction and development.

Addressing at the exchange, director of the Southern Women’s Museum Nguyen Thi Tham, said that in the struggle for national liberation and construction, the history recognized ten thousands of women who overcome difficulties and sacrificed their lives for national indepdence. In peacetime, women together with people nationwide started to reconstruct the nation making increasing contributions towards its development and wealth

With creative spirit and effort, women continued to overcome prejudice and challenges to make positive contribution to social activities, scientific research, production, health and education. This has made a measurable contribution to socio-economic development in the national renovation./.
