Soc Trang hands over 250 houses for the poor
The Soc Trang provincial Fatherland Front on October 10th worked with the provincial Lottery Company to hand over 250 houses, worth VND30 million each, for poor families in the province.

The activity aims to help the poor families have better accommodation, thus focusing on production and stabilizing their lives.
According to Duong Sa Kha, President of the provincial Fatherland Front, over the past 16 years, the Fund for the poor has mobilized over VND210 billion and built 14,000 houses for poor families. Together with this are efforts in granting scholarships, seedlings, animals and healthcare for tens of thousands of people. The provincial Lottery Company has, for many years, gone along with the Fund for the poor. Each year, it allocates assistance worth VND5 billion to help poor families. In 2016, the company has sponsored the building of 250 houses./.
