He hoped for the early signing of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, which is expected to raise bilateral trade over the current 10 billion USD level.

The Russian diplomat hoped to contribute his efforts to furthering the bilateral collaboration in wide-ranging fields such as trade, oil and gas, nuclear power, and military engineering.

While meeting with Algerian Ambassador Mohamed Berrah, the President recommended the two countries review signed agreements to increase the bilateral trade, which topped USD300 million currently.

Berrah said the two sides should work together to enhance trade links, open direct flights, and launch cultural weeks in the respective societies.

Receiving Brazilian Ambassador Marco Antonio, President Truong Tan Sang affirmed that Vietnam places importance to cooperation with Brazil .

Enjoying sound political ties, the two countries also boast huge potential for wider economic and tourism cooperation, he said.

The Ambassador said Brazil considers Vietnam one of the most important partners in Asia, and vowed to double his efforts to step up bilateral affiliation in trade, investment and tourism, in particular./.
