Vietnam’s economic growth accelerated faster than expected in the second quarter, as a recovery in exports and manufacturing helped offset risks from coronavirus outbreaks and rising oil prices.

Vietnam’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.42% in the first nine months of 2021, remarking a significant success of the country while battling against the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as maintaining production and business.

The unprecedented situation of the Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected the retail sale and service activities in Vietnam. However, the sector still witnessed an upward trend in 2020.
