A workshop was recently held in Con Dao island district in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, to seek feedback on the draft Decree on the implementation of the 2022 Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control.

Vietnam is studying and consulting the development of a bill on gender transformation and another on the revision of the Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Law.

The Vietnamese Government has worked hard to end violence against women and children, with special attention to negative impacts from Covid-19 on the people. However, violence has still happened and the problem can only be solved with joint efforts of all members in the society, organisations and authorised agencies.
