On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia and the Liaison Department of the Vietnamese Community in Johor state jointly organized the Vietnam Ao Dai Beauty Contest in Malaysia.

Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob and his entourage left Hanoi on March 22, ending their March 20-22 official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the first official visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Vietnam since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating the two countries’ wishes to strongly promote the bilateral strategic partnership.

Since the nationwide lockdown was imposed in Malaysia, many overseas Vietnamese in the country have lost their jobs but received help from fellow countrymen

Some Vietnamese people in Malaysia are not too worried when the government issues the nationwide lockdown because this is not the first time that such an order has been applied.
