Torrential rain resulted in the third flooding of the year on Yangtze River, putting the Three Gorges Dam under serious pressure and it is forecast to peak on Tuesday (July 28).

Rising water levels in trunk upstream leave China's Yangtze River struck with its third flood of the year Sunday afternoon, putting further pressure on the already overwhelmed Three Gorges Dam. 

Beijing has admitted in a rare revelation that ts 2.4-kilometer Three Gorges Dam spanning the Yangtze River in Hubei province “deformed slightly”, with some nonstructural, peripheral parts of the dam had buckled, after record flooding.
