The Prime Minister (PM) has decided to recognize Yen Dinh district in Thanh Hoa province as a new-style rural area in 2015.

By 2015, Yen Dinh had 22 out of 27 communes fulfilling new-style rural area standards while the remaining communes met more than 15 out of 19 criteria set for new-style rural areas, including Dinh Cong, Yen Lac, Yen Thinh, Yen Ninh and Yen Tho.

The district witnessed significant changes with upgraded economic infrastructure, spacious and modern projects, social and cultural development and improved spiritual and material life of the people.

In addition, organizational forms of production received attention and direction, numerous economic models showed effectiveness, contributing to increasing incomes and improving peoples' living standards./.
