Vietjet orders more A321 at Paris Air Show 2015

(VNF) – Vietjet Air inked a deal with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to purchase six more A321 jets worth a total of USD682 million, on June 17th at the Paris Air Show 2015. The aircraft will be delivered in 2017 to support the airline’s rapid growth.

(VNF) – Vietjet Air inked a deal with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to purchase six more A321 jets worth a total of USD682 million, on June 17th at the Paris Air Show 2015. The aircraft will be delivered in 2017 to support the airline’s rapid growth.

The purchase of these A321, one of the most modern single-aisle aircrafts produced by Airbus, is in addition to a deal made last year by the new-age airline and the European aircraft manufacturer for the purchase and lease of 100 aircraft.

As of early 2015, a total of six A320 and A321 aircraftfrom that initial order had been delivered to Vietjet. As planned, the carrier will continue to receive six to 12 aircrafts every year until the order is complete.

Together Airbus’ A320 and A321 have become the world’s best-selling single-aisle products with more than 10,200 aircraft ordered and more than 6,000 aircraft delivered to airlines worldwide to date.

On the same day, Vietjet inked deals with multiple partners at the show. The airline co-signed a USD60 million credit agreement with BNP Paribas, the French bank and financial services, which will finance Vietjet’s purchase of six aircraft from the Airbus A320 family between now and the end of 2017.

Furthermore, the carrier signed another major contract with several partners for its fleet’s insurance package worth USD1.5 billionfor the 2015-2016 period./.
