Vietnam inaugurates school in Laos
(VNF)- A high school in a Lao province, which is built on Vietnam’s non-refundable sponsorship, was put into operation on Wednesday.
Viengphoukha High School, which is located in Viengphoukha District in Luang Namtha Province and costs almost VND75 billion (US$ 3.39 million) to build, is the second educational facility constructed and gifted by the Vietnamese government to Laos, its neighbor, and long-standing friend.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from the two governments, provinces of Vinh Phuc and Luang Namtha, a cooperation council between the two countries as well as the Vietnam Embassy in Laos.

With construction work starting in 2013, the school now boasts a three-floor building with 40 classrooms, a two-floor office block, an auditorium, and a library.
The gift is expressive of the two countries’ resolve to bolster their long-running ties, boost the Lao province’s socio-economic growth and enhance cooperation in education and man power training./.
